Timesheet user options are found within the Users setup page in the administration section. For reporting purposes each employee must be setup as a user in BLDR. Please review the various Timesheet user options below.

Timesheets Mode
Sets the privilege mode for how employees are allowed to enter their Start and End Times when completing a time record. Below are the default options available.

Full Privileges - the start and end time picker fields will present the ability for the user to enter any time. Example: The user will be able to set their Start Time #1 to 8:00 AM & their End Time #1 to 12:00 PM.
Limited Privileges - the start and end time picker fields will not present the ability for the user to enter any time. Instead, the start and end time picker fields will set the current time rounded to the closest 15 minute increment when clicked. Example: The user clicks the Start Time #1 field at 7:58 AM which would set the field to 8:00 AM. This privilege option best correlates to a check-in/check-out Timesheet system where the end user should not have the ability to backdate their Timesheet record.

Timesheet Mode Notes:

  • Each Start Time & End Time field has a corresponding GPS field which logs the GPS location and Current Time that the corresponding fields time was modified.

  • If GPS was properly enabled & permissions to use the device location were enabled the app will log the GPS and a button will display with the time the corresponding field was modified.

  • When you click the GPS button for each corresponding field a popup Google Map will display with a Pin marking the coordinates of the device when the change to the Start or End time field was made.

Calculation Mode
Automatic Straight Time, Overtime, Double Time calculations. Below are the default options available. We understand that the rules below might not fit every employee type so we also provide override capabilities and custom calculations upon request.

ST Only - this option will calculate all hours as Straight Time only.
ST/OT Active - this option will calculate the first 8 hours as Straight Time & the remainder as Overtime.
ST/OT/DT Active  - this option will calculate the first 8 hours as Straight Time, the next 4 hours will be Overtime, and the remainder will be Double Time.
ST/OT/DT With OT For Weekends - this option will calculate the first 8 hours as Straight Time, the next 4 hours will be Overtime, and the remainder will be Double Time. All hours that are logged on weekend days will be calculated as Overtime.
ST/OT/DT With OT/DT For Weekends - this option will calculate the first 8 hours as Straight Time, the next 4 hours will be Overtime, and the remainder will be Double Time. All hours that are logged on Saturday will be calculated as Overtime & all hours that are logged on Sunday will be calculated as Double Time.

Calculation Notes:

  • If the user has multiple time records within 1 day the system will automatically compare each timesheet records Start Time #1 and assign the Overtime/Double Time to the later records within the day.

Crews Active - If this feature is set to True the the user will have all Crew related features active and visible within the app.

Dispatch Active - If this feature is set to True the the user will have all Dispatch related features active and visible within the app.

Overrides Active - If this feature is set to True the the user will have the ability to override the automatic Straight Time, Overtime, and Double Time calculations.

Multi-User Mode - If this feature is set to True the the user account affected will active Multi-User Mode. Multi-User Mode is currently a beta feature that allows multiple users to share the current user account and clock-in/clock-out using a Pin Code instead of having to login to the app. Use case example: Some clients have secured an iPad with BLDR to the wall in the Shop. The iPad is logged into BLDR with an account that has Multi-User Mode set to true. When employees arrive at work they head over to the iPad and clock-in for work using their Pin Code instead of having to login the BLDR app using a username and password. For more information regarding this beta feature please chat us.

Employee Type - This is a text field used to group users by the categories entered into this field. This field is used by some companies that have custom Timesheet calculations based on employee types. For more information regarding this field type please chat us.
